Terry Wheatley has been in the wine business since she was just 21 years old. She worked for Gallo Winery and Sutter Home (now Trinchero Family Estates) before starting Canopy Management with some friends. The management company would come to house brands they created, including Middle Sister Wines and Purple Cowboy Wines. After growing the company to 300,000 cases, Wheatley sold it to Vintage Wine Estates, where she then took up the post of SVP of sales and marketing. In 2018, she was named president of Vintage Wine Estates.Â
