[Past Event] The Psychological Toll of COVID: How Our Children Can Succeed Despite Isolation
It goes without saying that COVID has taken a toll on everyone, but most affected are our kids, who’ve suffered through disruptions in how they learn and build relationships. Isolated from extended family, friends, classmates, extracurricular activities and holiday traditions, they are among those most affected and the most important investment because they represent our future. And though people of all ages face mental health challenges, children are one of the most vulnerable communities right now because of the long-term sociological and psychological challenges they face. Join Worth, 1-800-Flowers, Kathleen Entwistle and special guests as we explore the importance of human relationships in kids K-12, the important decisions we as parents can make now and how we can foster a sense of community, achievement and belonging for our children in a socially distanced world.
Featuring: Dr. Chloe Carmichael, PhD, Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Kathleen Entwistle, Private Wealth Advisor, Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management, Jim McCann, Chairman, Worth and Chairman & Founder, 1-800-FLOWERS, Caryl Stern, Executive Director, Walton Family Foundation, and Daniel Willingham, Professor of Psychology and Director of Graduate Studies, University of Virginia
