Ron Deutsch

Ron joined Magnus Financial Group in December 2018. He works with high net worth clients to achieve their goals and objectives related to wealth accumulation, preservation and distribution. His 30 years of Wall Street financial experience and portfolio management gives him a unique advantage in advising client portfolios. Ron has been an advisor and portfolio manager since 2007 with previously held positions at Dynasty Financial, Lebenthal Asset Management and Sage Capital. Ron holds the Charter Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and previously maintained Series 63 and 8 registrations. Ron was named by the Financial Times in 2016 to their “Top Financial Advisor “ list.   Prior to his advisory and asset management career, Ron spent over 20 years in institutional fixed income positions working on the sell side. He was a partner at Bear Stearns & Co. for the majority of his career where he specialized in investment grade, high yield and mortgage backed securities. It was during his tenure at Bear Stearns that Ron developed his deep knowledge of fixed income markets which he applies today in providing advice to clients for their portfolios. Prior to Bear Stearns, Ron held senior positions in fixed income at Kidder Peabody and Prudential Securities He subsequently joined BNP Paribas as a managing director where he was hired with a group to build out a corporate bond department for their New York office.   Ron graduated Binghamton University with a B.S. in accounting. He subsequently attended Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management where he received his MBA. Upon graduation, Ron started his career with Drexel Burnham as an associate in investment banking. Ron currently lives in Katonah, NY with his wife Adrienne. They have three boys working and living in Manhattan. Their only remaining dependent at home is Kylie, their German Shepard. Ron is an avid tennis player and ice hockey fan.
