Bill Browder Founder & CEO, Hermitage Capital Management William Browder, founder and CEO of Hermitage Capital Management, was the largest foreign investor in Russia until 2005, when he was denied entry to the country for exposing corruption in Russian state-owned companies. In 2009 his Russian lawyer, Sergei Magnitsky, was killed in a Moscow prison after uncovering and exposing a US$230 million fraud committed by Russian government officials. Because of their impunity in Russia, Browder has spent the last eight years conducting a global campaign to impose visa bans and asset freezes on individual human rights abusers, particularly those who played a role in Magnitsky’s false arrest, torture and death. The USA was the first to impose these sanctions with the passage of the 2012 “Magnitsky Act.”A Global Magnitsky Bill, which broadens the scope of the US Magnitsky Act to human rights abusers around the world, was passed at the end of 2016. The UK passed a Magnitsky amendment in April 2017. Magnitsky legislation was passed in Estonia in December 2016, Canada in October 2017 and in Lithuania in November 2017. Similar legislation is being developed in South Africa, France and Ukraine. In February 2015 Browder published the New York Times bestseller, Red Notice, which recounts his experience in Russia and his ongoing fight for justice for Sergei Magnitsky.

Rebecca Patterson CIO, Bessemer Trust Rebecca Patterson is Chief Investment Officer at Bessemer Trust, managing more than $70 billion worth of high net worth family assets and serving as a member of the firm's management committee. Prior to joining Bessemer, Rebecca worked at J.P. Morgan, as Chief Markets Strategist for Asset Management, as Global Head of Foreign Exchange and Commodities for the Private Bank, and as an Investment Banking Research Analyst, based in New York, London and Singapore where she helped central banks and sovereign wealth funds, other institutional clients and high-net-worth families. Rebecca earned an M.B.A. from New York University, an M.A. in international economics from The Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies, and a B.S. in journalism from the University of Florida. Amit Bouri CEO & Co-Founder, GIIN Amit Bouri is the Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of the GIIN. His work in impact investing began when he was a strategy consultant with the Monitor Institute. At Monitor he was part of the team that produced the Investing for Social & Environmental Impact report, and he left Monitor to co-found the GIIN in 2009. Amit's other projects at the Monitor Institute included strategic planning and organizational development work for nonprofit organizations and foundations. Amit previously worked in the private sector as a strategy consultant with Bain & Company. He left Bain to work in global health at the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation. He also worked in the corporate philanthropy units of Gap Inc. and Johnson & Johnson. Amit holds an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management, an MPA from Harvard University's John F. Anthony Scaramucci Founder & Co-Managing Partner, SkyBridge Capital Anthony Scaramucci is the Founder and Co-Managing Partner of SkyBridge Capital. Christina Alfandary Managing Director, ESG and Sustainable Investments, GAMCO Asset Management Christina L. Alfandary is Managing Director, Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) and Sustainable Investments at GAMCO Asset Management, the institutional affiliate of Gabelli Asset Management Company. Since 1987 the firm has worked with both institutional and individual investors to meet values based investing objectives. There he held several senior positions including Chairman and CEO of UBS Americas and President and Chief Operating Officer of the Investment Bank. He joined UBS in 1994 after spending 10 years at Salomon Brothers.
