[Past Event] How Leaders Can Harness the Power of Purpose to Attract Talent and Make a Difference

Despite ample forewarning, the pandemic-fueled “Great Resignation” left many companies blindsided, struggling to maintain and attract talent. But with a record population of people available to work, the reality is that there’s no labor shortage; there’s a leadership shortage. The traditional workplace currency, money, has been overthrown for an even more precious commodity, time, and it’s the leaders who understand this, who understand that employees are searching for a sense of purpose and meaning in their work (i.e., it’s worth their time), that will thrive. Join Worth and Purpose Summit for an insightful conversation on the intersection of leadership and purpose, the importance of purposeful leaders and how leaders can utilize the power of purpose to usher in the “Great Restoration.”

Garry Ridge – Author, CEO & Chairman | WD-40 Company

Garry’s philosophy on company culture is based on what Aristotle said in 384bc – “Pleasure in the job puts perfection in the work.” Turning that into action, I believe that all leaders can create a workplace where you go to work each day, make a contribution to something bigger than yourself, learn something new, feel safe, are protected, and provided freedom by a set of values and go home happy! WD-40 Company is proof.
