Jim McCann, founder of 1-800-FLOWERS and executive chairman of Worth, has had two real careers paths in his life: social worker and florist. While these two paths might seem mutually exclusive, for McCann, they go hand-in-hand. He bought his first flower shop while working as a social worker at a home for boys in Queens, New York.
