Giving with Impact: A Reception and Conversation with Worth and Schwab Charitable

Sam Kang is President of Schwab Charitable. He is responsible for setting organizational strategy and leading its implementation in support of Schwab Charitable's mission to increase giving in the United States with donor-advised funds and philanthropic tools and resources that make charitable giving tax-smart, simple and efficient. Schwab Charitable offers tools, guidance and relationships that empower donors to incorporate charitable planning into their everyday lives and make a bigger difference in the world. Since its founding in 1999 as an independent 501(c)(3) public charity, Schwab Charitable donors have granted more than $29 billion to more than 235,000 charities.

Before assuming his current position, Sam spent three years leading the Service, Operations, and Technology teams. Prior to joining Schwab Charitable, he spent over 20 years at TD Ameritrade, where he held a variety of leadership roles in strategy, technology, and operations.

Sam holds the Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP®) designation, is an Executive Sponsor for the Charles Schwab Community Ambassadors Team in Westlake, Texas, and is part of the Executive Leadership Team for the American Heart Association in Tarrant County, Texas.
