The privatization of human space flight will only continue to ramp up in coming years, as billionaires such as Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos and Sir Richard Branson race to create cheap, commercialized space travel. While these big names definitely hope to make money in this new market, they are also filling huge voids left by governments that have had to cut funding for space missions—not to mention, radically transforming our future in the process.
