Michael Crook is Managing Director and Head, Investment Strategy, in the US Chief Investment Office, where he’s responsible for providing asset allocation and strategy advice to the firm’s clients. He’s also an adjunct professor of economics, blogger, podcast host, author, and used to be a decent golfer. Prior to UBS Michael worked as a discretionary portfolio manager for Lehman Brother’s outsourced CIO business, an investment strategist at Barclays, and a research fellow at the American Institute for Economic Research. In addition to publications in the Journal of Wealth Management, Journal of Index Investing, Journal of Investing, and Journal of Retirement, Michael is a frequent commentator and invited speaker in TV/print financial media (Bloomberg, Wall Street Journal, Reuters, Barron’s, Business Insider, etc.). He lives in Maplewood, NJ, with his wife, two children, and chocolate lab. He volunteers his time with a variety of charities focused on youth educational achievement and financial literacy. Preferred vacation spots include anywhere without cell phone reception.
