Corporate Attorney, Tech Sector Executive & Advisor to Mission-Driven Ventures

Marianna is a corporate attorney, tech sector executive and advisor to mission-driven ventures, including Jetstream Africa, a digital logistics business transforming trade in African countries, and Lockstep Ventures, a new fund focused on addressing issues of racial inequality and specifically supporting black female founders.  Marianna was the chief strategy and chief operating officer of Uzabase, Inc., a global business intelligence and business media company, where she oversaw strategic transactions in the US market.  Prior to that she was a corporate attorney at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz, where she executed over $100bn in public and private company deals and authored a guide for public companies on corporate governance. Before becoming a lawyer, Marianna worked with presidencies and ministries of finance in African countries on economic reform and investment and sustainability issues. Marianna studied at Howard University, where she was selected as a Rhodes Scholar, at Oxford University and at Yale Law School, where she was selected as a Paul & Daisy Soros Fellow.
