John is a financial services professional with more than 30 years of experience working with business owners and their families. John focuses on developing new business opportunities, working with other professional advisors to identify those who may benefit from The Colony Group’s capabilities and expertise. He also works directly with clients and their advisor team to define goals, create appropriate strategies, and ensure all are working together toward achieving those goals. He is also coauthor of Your Next Adventure: Planning for Life After the Sale of Your Business.
John currently serves on the Statewide Board of The New Hampshire Charitable Foundation and is the organization’s Treasurer. He previously served on the boards of The Nature Conservancy of NH, NH Business Committee for the Arts (past Chair), Elliot Health Systems, the New Hampshire Humanities Council (past Chair), Junior Achievement of NH (past Chair), the Corporate Fund of the NH Charitable Foundation (past Chair) and on the Advisory Council of the Currier Museum of Art.
Outside of the office, he loves to travel with family and friends, plays golf and tennis and enjoys skiing. On his list of all-time favorite books is The Lord of the Rings trilogy by J.R.R. Tolkien: “My generation’s Harry Potter series.” He has been married to Gail for more than 30 years, and they have three sons.
