Gareth Edmondson-Jones

Gareth Edmondson-Jones has spent the last three years on launch communications in bringing the new U.S. start-up airline Breeze Airways to market. Twenty years prior, he created the launch campaign for the new entrant JetBlue Airways. Prior to JetBlue, Gareth headed the U.S. corporate communications department for Virgin Atlantic Airways and, as a consultant, created the communications launches for start-ups Virgin America, JetSuite and JSX, and supported the launches for Azul Brazilian Airlines, India’s Kingfisher Airlines, and for TAP Air Portugal’s US re-launch.
With some 30 years of airline PR and media relations experience, including two decades working with JetBlue founder and serial airline entrepreneur David Neeleman, Gareth joined the launch team at Neeleman’s new US start-up Breeze Airways in 2019, first as a consultant, then in-house managing the communications role. As Breeze turns two years old, the airline has grown to a national footprint of 35 cities across 21 states and was named #2 Best Domestic Airline by the readers of Travel + Leisure in their 2022 World’s Best Awards.
