Eric Clement leads the Strategic Investments Group at the New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) where he directs three affiliated entities that oversee the negotiation of tax incentives, taxable/tax-exempt debt issuance, New Markets Tax Credit investments, in addition to a portfolio of debt & equity funds on behalf of the City of New York. These efforts help drive inclusive economic development by unlocking access to finance, mobilizing private capital, and supporting the growth of strategic sectors.
Throughout his career, Eric led opportunities across multiple industries and product groups including investment banking, consulting, infrastructure, healthcare, retail, manufacturing, and telecommunications.
Eric spent time working in London, sub-Saharan Africa, and the United States -most recently as a partner at Blue Frontier Group, an emerging markets private equity firm, SGI Global Holdings, Ltd., and various executive and management-level positions at Accenture plc, Citigroup and JPMorgan.
Eric received his MBA from the University of Oxford with specializations in finance and strategy and his undergraduate degree from Lehigh University.
