A conversation with two incredible women on the value of women in building, sustaining and healing communities.
Devangana Rana is from Urbana, IL and attends Urbana High School. Devangana’s passion lies in her community, where she works to bring a positive change through education and youth empowerment. She serves on the FEMA National Youth Preparedness Council to spread and promote knowledge about disaster-preparedness. Devangana also helps girls from marginalized communities in America and India achieve their educational and career goals by being the Education Resource Specialist for the YesSheCanCampaign, a student volunteer for SwaTaleem NGO, and a teen mentor in the Dream Girls Academy. Her community outreach efforts were recognized by the MLK Justice for Advocacy Committee when she was awarded the Presidents Award for Outstanding Achievement. Devangana hopes to continue to empower and create spaces for other women so that they can recognize their true potential and worth.
