The Windy City’s answer to Art Basel brings more than 135 leading international galleries to Navy Pier. Viewed by many as the kickoff to the art fair season, Expo Chicago, which focuses on contemporary art, drew more than 30,000 people to its 2018 edition. Directors of the show reported strong sales by highly engaged Midwest collectors. This year the show launches in conjunction with the Chicago Architecture Biennial; there’ll be joint programs and events. The VIP program is by invitation only. Through September 22.
