WORTH EVENT RECAP

Power 100:
The New Landscape of Power

OCTOBER 2017

On Sunday, October 15, Worth welcomed 120 VIPS to the Greenwich Country Club for the third annual Worth Power 100 Poker Invitational. Guests enjoyed the sponsor activations stationed around the room, and the country club was transformed into a high-end poker lounge. The no buy-in tournament saw players competing for more than $150,000 in prizes, and, most importantly, Worth and its guests raised over $40,000 for Sandy Hook Promise, an organization that funds programs across the country to help prevent gun violence.

On Monday, October 16, Worth kicked off its seventh annual Power 100 Summit by revealing Worth’s No. 1 pick as the most powerful person in finance: Xi Jinping, president of China. The day’s sessions included panels on investing in the age of Trump, a discussion on finding consensus in Congress that joined two congressmen; a conversation about women on Wall Street; and Mariano Rivera talking about how his most fulfilling work has been his philanthropic efforts. A highlight of the day was a McLaren ride and drive around Greenwich.
