Neil Hughes serves as President of HUB International’s US Central Region, covering the Midwest West, Midwest East, Texas and Colorado. His responsibilities include overall growth of the Property & Casualty, Employee Benefits, Surety, Programs and Personal Lines departments; overseeing client retention efforts, including assisting in all phases of insurance placement; claims and safety activities. Additionally, Neil handles the management of many of the firm’s large and highly complex accounts. Neil is also responsible for the overall P&L for HUB Personal Lines. HUB is the second largest independent personal lines agency in North America. His responsibilities include setting the strategic direction for new business, cross-sell, retention, carrier integration, claims management and M&A opportunities for all customer segments and personal lines products. Neil has held a number of high-profile roles in the insurance industry that have consisted of sales leadership and account handling across commercial, employee benefits and property and casualty lines of business. Neil began his insurance career in 1997 with CHUBB Insurance Company in New York City as a Property and Casualty underwriter. Prior to his current role, Neil was President of HUB International Midwest. Neil holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from Villanova University and an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management. Presently, Neil and his family reside in Chicago, IL. Outside of work he enjoys running marathons, skiing, fishing and hiking.
