Huntington T. Block (HTB) was founded in 1962 by a gentleman of the same name. Mr. Block envisioned a broad and comprehensive insurance policy to protect and preserve fine art. From that vision, HTB grew into the specialty fine art insurance brokerage that exists today, providing clients full protection for collections of all types, with boutique service, ethical advice and competitive pricing. HTB advises on all types of fine art exposures, from private collectors and conservators, to galleries and museums of every size. Kate Buchanan joined HTB in 2012 after 18 successful years with the Chubb Group. She brings a high degree of insurance acumen and a passion for the arts, which is not an unusual combination for the HTB team. She is often invited to educate groups about insurance, and specializes in simplifying complex issues, so clients feel confident in their understanding of their insurance program. Kate graduated from Gettysburg College in Pennsylvania, and holds a BA in art history, with concentrations in Spanish, Italian, and art preservation.
