Charity Eyes Quarter-Billion-Dollar Write-Down In Value Of Goods Handled
After inquiries by Forbes about paperwork discrepancies, Operation Compassion, a church relief group that briskly has become one of the country’s largest international aid charities, says it likely will lower its reported revenues over four years by as much as $250 million–more than one-quarter of the $900 million-plus it claimed in donated goods.
