Philip E. Corcoran

Philip E. Corcoran, CFP®, is a financial advisor, managing director and member of the advisory team at Savant Capital Management. Responsible for managing all aspects of the financial planning and investment process for Savant’s clients, Phil regularly meets with clients and their other advisors, portfolio managers and financial planners to formulate and coordinate effective planning, investment and tax strategies. Prior to Savant, Phil served as president of The Corcoran Group until its acquisition by Savant in 2015. He also founded a software development company to improve stock-based compensation decision-making technologies for financial advisors and clients. Phil earned his BS degree in political science from the U.S. Naval Academy and also had a distinguished career in the U.S. Navy. As a naval intelligence officer, he served during Operation Desert Shield, was an Asia-Pacific research analyst for the Defense Intelligence Agency and served in the National Military Joint Intelligence Center for The Joint Chiefs of Staff Intelligence Staff. Phil was honored as a recipient of The Defense Meritorious Service Medal and was named the Defense Intelligence Agency’s Analyst Producer of the Year. Phil and his wife, Stacey, have three children.
