Curtco Media Names Michael Schneider As Vice President And Publisher Of Worth Magazine

NEW YORK (January 13, 2006) – CurtCo Media today announced the appointment of Michael Schneider to the position of Vice President and Publisher of Worth, the nation’s only high-end consumer magazine dedicated to the management, preservation and transference of substantial wealth.

Mr. Schneider, who will report to CurtCo Media Chief Operating Officer Dan Galpern, joined CurtCo Media as national financial advertising director in 2003, and was promoted to advertising director of Worth last year.

A publishing industry veteran for almost two decades,  Mr. Schneider had spent nine years in sales and sales management positions at Dow Jones & Company Inc. Joining The Wall Street Journal in 1995 as a territory manager, Mr. Schneider spent his last four years as associate manager, financial advertising for The Wall Street Journal and Wall Street Journal International properties.  In that position, Mr. Schneider led his team of representatives selling advertising and cross-platform marketing solutions to New York-based financial services companies.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Schneider held various advertising sales management positions at Marietta, Georgia-based Enterprise Communications, Inc. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Arts from New York’s Alfred University.

“Mike’s contributions have been instrumental in Worth’s development over the past several years,” Mr. Galpern stated.  “His extensive experience and his relationships within the wealth management sector, as well as the financial community as a whole, will be critical to the publication’s continued growth.”
