Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon FC Reserve: Limited-quantity wines, including Chardonnay, Pinot
Noir, Syrah and Viognier, overseen by winemaker Corey Beck. Each lot is crushed,
fermented and aged separately through the final blending
stage.

Chardonnay, Malbec, Merlot, Zinfandel, Syrah-Shiraz, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot
Noir varietals. Rosso & Bianco: Wines made in the spirit of what Coppola calls "home wine" including

sparkling Blanc de Blancs, Rosé, and mini (a single serving of Blanc de Blanc
sold in a can along with a straw for sipping).
FOOD Named for Coppola’s mother, Mammarella offers organic sauces
in six flavors such as arrabbiata and pomodoro basilico. All are made according
to Coppola’s personal taste: Tomatoes are steam-peeled and he insists on
hand-torn (not chopped) basil. Pastas made in the pasta rustica method come in
eight shapes using antique bronze molds, including bumbola and quadrefiore, and
are air-dried.
RESORTS In 1981, he bought the Blancaneaux Lodge in Belize when searching
for a retreat after filming Apocalypse Now. It opened to
the public as a resort in 1993. In 2000, he opened beach getaway Turtle Inn
nearby (which he rebuilt after Hurricane Iris in 2001). He expanded to Guatemala
in 2005, with La Lancha Resort, on the banks of Lake Peten Itza and near the
Mayan ruins of Tikal.
PUBLISHING He introduced the literary fiction magazine, Zoetrope: All-Story in 1997. It received a National Magazine Award for
Best Fiction in 2001.
RESTAURANTS Coppola’s two Italian restaurants are Café Zoetrope in San
Francisco and Café Rosso and Bianco in Palo Alto, Calif. (Previously, he was a
partner at San Francisco’s Rubicon.)
