Grant Makers Meeting in Toronto
04/01/2004

Trustees and grant makers will meet in Toronto April 26 to 28 for a Council on Foundations (www.cof.org) conference. The conference is aimed at private and family foundations, as well as corporate, community and international philanthropic organizations.

Seminars at the 55th annual conference were designed by a committee of 40 headed by Bill Richardson, president and CEO of the W.K. Kellogg Foundation. Attendees can take one of three paths—issues, leadership and operations—that deal with various aspects of philanthropy. Ethics and governance will be among the seminar topics targeting trustees.

Foundation board members and trustees, along with administrators, can attend the conference providing their foundations distribute at least $60,000 a year.
