VISA REQUIREMENTS
U.S. citizens need a valid passport to enter mainland China. To obtain a business visa, you must have a passport valid for six months from the date of travel with two blank pages, plus a letter of invitation. A double-entry visa allowing you to leave and reenter the country twice is good for three months, a multiple-entry visa is good for either six months, one year, or two to five years. Entry into China from Hong Kong or Macao is subject to a special permit.
