A 24 story atrium designed
with two wings anchors the Hyatt Regency Santiago, located in an
exclusive Las
Condes residential neighborhood.
Guests of the Hyatt’s
executive suites have
access to the Regency Club, a three-story atrium
with separate concierge,
lounge, meeting rooms and billiard room. A
continental breakfast is served in
the morning and cocktails in the
evening.
Six rooms are available for banquets,
conventions and
meetings; each is equipped with Sony audiovisual systems for
presentations & videoconferencing. The Hyatt’s business center
rents PCs and
cell phones, and can arrange a private office.
The
Hyatt’s Club Olympus health
and fitness center is a separate
three-story building with a modern gym and full
spa with a solarium and
massage parlor. The hotel also has two tennis courts and
a jogging
track.
Three gourmet restaurants specialize in different cuisines:
Anakena serves Thai, Crostini serves Italian and Matsuri serves
Japanese. Hotels
magazine recently lauded Armin Zahner, the hotel’s
executive chef, for
excellence. In addition, the Hyatt offers its
guests space to relax at the
Atrium Lobby Lounge, a London-style tea
room serving light meals.

San Cristobal Tower is located near Parque Metropolitano,
where either a gondola or funicular will take you to the summit of
Cerro San
Cristobal, a popular spot where tourists flock for Santiago’s
most panoramic
views. The Tower has meeting rooms that can
accommodate groups as small as
15 and as large as 800. Wireless
Internet access is available throughout the
hotel. The business center
has three fully equipped private offices available
for rent. Bilingual
secretaries are on staff and can arrange for translation
services.
Additionally, the hotel has a separate convention center that can hold
2,000 people. The hotel has a full gym and spa facilities, a private
outdoor
jogging path, indoor heated pool, a children’s pool and
playground and a lighted
outdoor tennis court. As an alternative to
exercise, guests can shop inside the
hotel’s mini-mall, which has book,
clothing and jewelry stores. German-born chef
Joseph Gander presides
over L’Etoile. He is also the executive chef for all of
the hotel’s
restaurants including El Cid, El Jardin and El Bohio.
