The greatest fear of teenagers isn’t violence or global warming—it’s the breakup of their family, according to a survey quoted in the Washington Times. The poll, released by New American Media, in cooperation with the University of California Office of the President and research company Bendixen & Associates, found that among the 601 16- to 22-year-olds polled, 24 percent called family breakup their greatest concern, followed by violence in the community at 22 percent, poverty at 17 percent, and global warming, 14 percent. War, drugs and racism were negligible concerns. |
