Although 85 percent of investors agree that alternative energy investments represent both a chance to generate profit and help the environment, only one in five has actually discussed such investments with a financial advisor, according a poll done by Calvert, one of the nation’s largest socially responsible mutual fund companies. The survey, which questioned nearly 1,100 investors, also found that 76 percent of respondents are concerned about what global warming could mean in terms of major changes during the next two generations.
