Owners Opt to Keep Working
02/08/2008

They like what they do.

Wealthy business owners enjoy their work so much that many plan to delay retirement. According to a study by PNC Financial Services Group, 43 percent of business owners plan to stay on the job until they are at least 70, regardless of how much money they have; that’s nearly double the number of affluent individuals who work but do not own a company. The study also showed that only one-third of business owners have a written succession plan in place. The survey questioned 1,509 affluent adults, including 587 business owners.
