McKinsey Survey
Outsiders Welcome
06/11/2007

Board members appreciate expertise.

Corporate directors would like to see more sector specialists and outside experts on company boards, and they desire more financial and operational information, according to a global survey by McKinsey Quarterly. Directors also perceive the influence of private equity on the value of their companies as generally positive, at least in the short term, but few see hedge funds in that same light. The survey, conducted between March 28 and April 11 and released June 7, reached 2,668 respondents from companies of all sizes around the world.
