2007 looks promising to survey respondents.
Most millionaires expect a bullish market in 2007, with yields of
6 to 10 percent, according to a study released January 24 by Northern Trust. The
survey showed that 62 percent of millionaires expect the market to make gains of
at least 6 percent, while only 6 percent of respondents believe the market will
register losses.
Stoking the confidence is the belief that corporate earnings will
remain strong in 2007. Thirty-one percent of the respondents reported they were
“very optimistic” about earnings, while 26 percent called themselves “very
optimistic” that the economic expansion will continue.
